World profiles 50 homes in 19 different countries including Irontown Homes’,
a company owned by Kenneth Brailsford’s holding company KEB Enterprises, Martis
Camp Cabin.
Koones profiles the impressive Martis Camp Cabin built in
Truckee, California across six pages detailing the homes’ energy-efficient and
green building features and the challenges that were met during the entire building
process.
The book was released April 15.
“With careful planning by the architect and builder, this
cabin represents a happy meeting of budgetary and environmental concerns,”
Koones wrote about the Martis Camp Cabin in the book.
Irontown Homes has been building modular homes for more than
25 years. The modular or prefab building process helps customers save time when
it comes to building a home while still allowing unlimited possibilities.
Irontown Homes builds each home they work on to 75 to 90
percent completion in their factory in Spanish Fork, Utah before shipping the
home in modules to the home’s location. The process allows the home to built
with less material waste while preventing weather delays.
Each home built in the Irontown Homes factory undergoes an
arduous engineering process to ensure the home is built to the highest possible
building standards.

Modular home building offers several advantages over building a traditional site-built home. The modular building process can cut overall construction time by as much as half when compared to site-built homes. By building the home in a factory, foundation work can be completed at the same time as the factory construction.
Modular construction also reduces the impact building a home
has on the environment. There’s less material waste, zero weather damage and
the environmental impact on the home’s site is minimal.
